This Thanksgiving anthem was set to the
following anonymous poem:
My god!
My God you are a God of strength and beauty.
You give me my life, my faith, my seeing,
and I so small, what can I give for these?
You give to me the sun, the hills, the rain-fall,
quiet shinning of the passing day.
You give to me a mind to fathom truth and good.
And I so small, what can I give or say?
And then as though you do not count these blessings,
You lend Your own light to lead my way,
to lead my way.
And I so small,
oh humbly and with gladness,
I give my all. I give my life.
I give my life to Thee.
